John A. Jones 48, of Nampa went home to be with his heavenly father. He died at St Alphonsus Nampa on April the 17th from complications of losing his legs due to flesh eating disease. His family was by his side. John A. Jones was born on December 4,1964 in Caldwell, Idaho, the son of Donald L. Jones and Mardell C. Jones. John grew up in Nampa and graduated from Nampa High School in 1983. He enjoyed football and wrestling. John started working during high school for Snelgrove Ice Cream, then on to working at the Aldrich Farms. In 1992 John chose to start a trucking career with Willis Shaw. He traveled across the United States and enjoyed visiting different states and visiting other truckers. He went on to work for Thueson Trucking .Johns interests were hunting, fishing and going to the cabin in New Meadows. The light of his life was his nephew Nathan Colley and his dog Topper. John is survived by his mother Mardell Jones of Nampa and brother Donald L. Jones II of Portland Oregon and close brother in law Craig Colley and nephew Nathan Colley of Nampa, adopted sister Nancy O'Brien and her husband Dan of Caldwell and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Donald L Jones, Sister Debbie Colley and grandparents. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Camp Stover, c/o of Nampa Church of the Brethren or to Nampa Church of the Brethren 11030 Orchard Ave. Nampa Idaho 83651. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday April 22, 2013 at Terrace Lawn, Cloverdale Memorial Park, Boise, Idaho. Services are under the direction of Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
