Jon Hurst, 62, of Nampa, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012.

He was born to Betty Jean Coffman and Willis Hurst on November the third in 1950. Jon was the middle child with one older sister and one younger brother. Jon was the first born son and his grandfather, also Jon, immediately claimed him as hisas the family had long awaited a boy. Jon idolized his grandfather and spent his summers in Dietrich, Idaho with them. Even though Jon was small in stature, he had a huge heart. His parents lived in Mancus, Colorado. After their divorce and Jon coming of age, he moved to Shoshone, Idaho. Jon was employed as a lab manager at Tupperware for 16 years. He was married during these years and raised two children much of the time as a single parent after his divorce. Jon met Sue and eloped in 1988. This union resulted in their son Nicholas. They lived as a family in Burley, Idaho before moving to Nampa, Idaho in 2008. Jon was a owner/operator for CR England until he was disabled with a progressive nerve disorder. Jon gave his heart to Jesus and was baptized with his son in the early 1990s. After becoming disabled, Jon continued to praise Jesus and was a strong, fighting example to all his children and grandchildren. There was nothing Jon couldnt fix if he was determined to do so, often with the help of his grandsons. Jon loved his family more than anything.

Jon is survived by his wife, Sue; 3 children, Robin, Shane, and Nicholas; 6 step children, many grandchildren, and his brother and sister. He was proceeded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at the Christian Faith Center, Nampa. A viewing will be held prior to the services starting at 10:00 A.M. with viewing also to follow.
