Jose Santos Estrada, 88, of San Antonio, TX and formerly of Melba and Bruneau, ID passed away on September 4, 2012 in San Antonio. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Melba Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.

Jose was born on October 31, 1923 in Flatonia, Texas. He met and married Anastacia Guerrero in Texas. Jose worked for the Railroad in Iowa and also worked as a migrant worker until the mid 1960s when he worked in the farm industry in Melba. He eventually bought his own farm in Bruneau called the Milagro Farms.

Anastacia passed away on July 3, 1993. In 1999 he married Marie Luisa Vela.

Jose had four daughters and seven sons. All of his sons served in the military forces.

He is survived by his wife, Maria and his step children; three daughters, Rosa E. Dimas, Maria Estrada and Rosario Estrada; five sons, Guadalupe Estrada, Gonzalo Estrada, Jose Estrada, Jr., Alejandro Estrada and Juan Estrada; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anastacia Estrada, his daughter, Consuelo Estrada, and two sons, Francisco Estrada and Antonio Estrada.
