Joseph Tycz Obituary Joseph Charles Tycz March 19, 1930 February 16, 2023 Joseph Charles Tycz was born to Joseph & Mary (Salek) Tycz on March 19, 1930, in Tabor, Bonhomme, South Dakota. As a young child he moved to Idaho with his parents and settled in Nampa. He attended St. Pauls Catholic School and graduated from Nampa High School in 1948. As a young man he had several odd jobs, working for Boeing Aircraft, Sears, as well as the family orchards, and owned & operated Joes Beverage store. Joe attended the College of Idaho and earned a bachelors degree of Science in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. He became a registered Medical Technologist and went to work for Mercy Hospital enjoying a 40-year career. It was a job he loved with all his heart. He married Irma Allen in 1961. They made their home in Nampa where they raised 4 children. He loved working in his yard and garden, growing many kinds of flowers and vegetables. Joe and Irma could be found dancing every Saturday night at the Nampa Elks Lodge (where he is a Life Member). In his later years he loved to watch Lawrence Welk on Saturday nights. He is survived by his wife Irma, his children Cindy (Ray) Shervik, Tylene Tycz, Kevin Tycz, Diane (Kenny) Wroten, his sister Deloris McGoldrick and brother Eugene (Linda) Tycz, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe & Mary Tycz. 'Thanks for being there, Dad!' A viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 27, 2023, at the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
