Obituary

Joy F. Miller, 66, of Parma, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013 at West Valley Medical Center. He was born on April 1, 1946 in Caldwell, Idaho to James and Lois Shaner Miller. He married Betty Joan Britton on April 4, 1964 at the Apple Valley Church. He worked at Simplots, Nebraska Dog Food Plant, Bunker Hill in Kellog, ID, A trailer factory in Boise and the Amalgamated Sugar Co. in Nyssa, OR. Joy liked to fish and hunt. He also loved to go gold panning where he was a lifetime member of the Lost Dutchman Mining Association and the Gold Prospectors Association of America. Joy was also a very faithful member of the Seventh Day Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Jeremy and James Miller, both from Parma; two grandchildren, JJ Miller and Madisyn Miller of Marsing; a brother Ray Miller (Eva Jo) of Parma; A sister, Margaret Friesen of LaPine, OR; a brother in law, Jim Saner of Middleton and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Doris Saner. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Seventh Day Church of God. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
