Joyce M. Hamilton, 95, of Nampa, Idaho and formerly of Carson City, NV, passed away in Nampa on October 31, 2025. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date at the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, CA.
Joyce was born on July 14, 1930, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Joyce was married for 51 years to the love of her life Rev. Charles Hamilton. Joyce lived in Carson Valley since 1980 and had just moved to Nampa to be near her daughter, Yvonne Miller. Joyce made wedding cakes for all of her family and had her own ceramics shop in Minden, NV and taught classes and won several awards from the Northern Nevada Ceramic Association. When Joyce moved into Carson City, NV she worked for Nevada Legacy driving seniors to grocery stores and Dr. appointments. She received an award from the Governor of Nevada for all of her hours of volunteer work. She also went on several trips with her church to build churches. Joyce was the last of her generation and we will miss her stories. Rest in peace with your Savior.
Joyce is survived by 2 daughters, Yvonne (Don) Miller, Nampa, Idaho and Jan (Joe) Reynolds, Jayton, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Rosemarie Hamilton, Mohegan Lake, New York; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. She had numerous nieces and nephews across the country.
