Juanita Galaviz, 85, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025.

Born in Hondo, Texas, Juanita later moved to Nampa, where she and her late husband, Joe B. Galaviz, built a beautiful life together and raised their children on strong values and deep devotion to family.

Juanita is survived by her three sons and their spouses: Raymond & Terri Galaviz, Ernie & Shannon Galaviz, Jessie & Melonee Galaviz, and her daughter Cecilia Galaviz Hilerio & Dr. Fawzy Salama. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her great joy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe B Galaviz; her son, David Galaviz; and her parents, Carlos and Ernestina Aguirre.

Juanita will forever be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose life was filled with love, faith and family. She was dedicated to her children and cherished family celebrations, loved to dance, cook for her family, and she adored her little dog, Lucy. Traveling brought her much happiness—especially trips to New York to visit her daughter and to Hawaii to spend time with her son.

Her smile, laughter, generosity, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate to know her.
