Juanita Villanueva McQuinn

Juanita 11, of Nampa Idaho passed from her complicated little body into the loving arms of Jesus on March 9th, 2015. Juanita was born in Nampa on May 21, 2003 to Juan Villanueva and Misty McQuinn. Although born at 26 weeks, weighing only 2 lbs. and suffering massive brain bleeds which left her with multiple cognitive and physical disabilities, Juanita was an adorably sweet, amazing, bright, fun, joyful, determined little girl. She particularly loved music, lights, and noise-making toys that she could chew and manipulate. She knew all of her ABC's, the sounds of each letter, could read 123 sight words and loved to spell words and count. Her favorite radio station was KTSY and would have liked Christmas music year round. Another favorite pastime was bouncing on her big red ball while singing songs to Jesus or having mom 'play' her fingers on the piano. Her smiles and laughter were the delight of all who knew her.

Jeff and Lori Wakelam became Nita's 'chosen' parents and brought her into their family on Sept 30th, 2003 where she joined her older sister Paulina Villanueva McQuinn. Juanita in recent months would refer to Jeff and Lori as 'My Dad' and 'My Mom'. In months before her passing she would often say, 'I love you, I kiss you!'

Juanita had many loving Doctors, nurses, caregivers, teachers, bus drivers, therapists, and friends. She touched all the lives of those who knew her. Her parents, Jeff and Lori, Sister Paulina, chosen brother Andrew with wife Viorica (daughter Mea), chosen sisters Amanda and Lindsey with husband Aaron wish to thank all of those who cared for her and loved her as much as they did.

She will be forever missed and loved, but never forgotten!

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Crossroads Community Church Genesis Bldg., 4170 East Amity Avenue, Nampa at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 28, 2015.
