Judy Fossgreen Obituary Judy C. Fossgreen, 80 years young of Eagle, Idaho, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2023, at her home in Eagle, Idaho. Judy was born in Fresno, CA, to Chester and Juanita Barnett on August 25, 1943. Along with two younger brothers, she grew up in Fresno. Judy met Lee Fossgreen on a mission trip. They married on December 18, 1965, in Fresno, CA. She graduated from Fresno State University and later received her Masters Degree from San Diego State University. Judy and Lee had two daughters, Lisa and Amy. Judy was a devoted wife and mother. They lived in San Diego for 40 years, where she worked as an elementary school teacher. After retiring in 2009, Judy and Lee moved to Eagle, Idaho, to be near their four grandchildren. Throughout her life, she was actively involved in her church and many ministries: Widows Mite, San Diego Rescue Mission, Bible Study Fellowship, GEMS, Gideons, and led the welcome committee for her Lakemoor neighborhood in Eagle. Judy had a great heart for children and music. She wrote songs, loved singing hymns, and played piano for her church and various events. Judy was passionate about the Lord and devoted to her family and friends. She loved working in her amazing garden with a breathtaking view. Judy had a vibrant spirit and prayed for anyone and everyone at any time. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Juanita Barnett. Judy is survived by spouse, Lee Fossgreen; daughters Lisa (Todd) Whittaker and Amy (Brad) Shingler; grandchildren Chloe (Ben) Widener, Joseph (Lyndan) Shingler, Gigi Shingler, and Miranda Shingler; great-grandchild Montgomery Widener; brothers Jim Barnett and Jerry Barnett. Celebration of Life services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, October 20, at Living Hope Bible Church - 14301 W McMillan Rd, Boise, ID 83713. All are welcome!
