IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karen Marie
Crow
December 28, 1957 – August 26, 2025
Karen Marie (Gooderl) Crow, age 67, went to be with her Lord Jesus on August 26th, 2025, in Nampa, Idaho.
She was born in Yakima, Washington on December 28th, 1957, and was the middle of three girls born to Harold and Dorothy Gooderl.
Karen went to school in Yakima, attending Roosevelt Elementary, Franklin Jr. High, and Davis High School, graduating in 1976. Karen was extremely social in high school and very enthusiastic about music, drill team, and a baseball player name Don Crow... After attending Northwest Nazarene College, she and Don were married in 1978 and spent the next 47 years together creating a life they loved. Their life together was full of laughter, love, music, friends, church, humor, family, and baseball.
Together they had three children: Timothy (Amber) Crow, Tyler (Macey) Crow, and Tara (Lane) McKinney as were blessed with six granddaughters, Daley Crow, Harper McKinney, Elliot Crow, Willa Crow, Jovie McKinney, and Dorothy Crow.
Karen fulfilled her dream of being a mother and grandmother. She dearly loved each of her children and grandchildren. Her family was her calling, and she loved, protected, nurtured, fought for, sang to and cared for each of them. Seeing each of her family follow Jesus was a highlight of her life and a reflection of the Christlike love that she showed each of them. She was an incredible Mom and Nana.
Karen was known for her unwavering love of Jesus, fierce commitment to her family, her clever sense of humor, and her delight in all things musical. Singing three-part harmonies with her two sisters, Pam (Doug) Walker and Cathy (Randy) Freeby, was one of the joys of her life. Starting as a child around the piano in the Gooderl home with her mom, dad, and sisters, her love of music began. She sang in the choir at Davis High School as well as NNC. She sang on worship teams and choirs of the churches she attended and was even a choir director for several years. God gave her this wonderful gift and she used it powerfully. She sang into the lives of her children and grandchildren throughout her life.
There are truly no words to fully describe Karen. She was a spunky, funny, caring prayer warrior, and the life of the party. She will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Karens life will be on September 13th, 2025, at 1:00pm at Crossroads Community Church in Nampa, ID.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her only grandson.
