Katie O'Brien-McPhie, beloved wife and mother, passed away on January 7th in the company of her family. A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 504 11th Ave North, Nampa, ID, 83687 on Saturday, January 17th at 10:30 am. Katie was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, and passed away in Nampa, Idaho. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Gerald and Eleanor O'Brien, and by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gloria and Carl McPhie. Katie is survived by her husband, Tom McPhie, by her five children: Amanda, Brandie Christine, Emily, James, and Joe, and by her five grandchildren: Jesse, Geoff, Hiram, Josiah, and Leo. She also has one more grandchild on the way. We wish she could meet him. Katie was loved, and she will be greatly missed. However, she suffered through a lot of pain and illness towards the end of her life, and we are grateful that she is no longer in pain. She loved the ocean and the mountains, she loved to watch football, and she was extremely devoted to her grandchildren.
