Kenneth 'Ken' Wilker Obituary Kenneth (Ken) Scott Wilker, 57, peacefully passed to be with our Heavenly Father on May 29, 2024.
Born June 13, 1966, in Portland Oregon, to Ellen (Ganske) Rupp and Tim Wilker. He was a ferocious child with true determination which led him to graduate from James Madison High School (class of 84). Ken married his high school sweetheart for 30 years and was blessed by two daughters who were his pride and joy.
Ken always had a passion and drive for hard work, and he never let that waver. He worked as a coach, spent 12 years at Fred Meyers, and had a stint in teaching. Ken found his true calling at Maverik, where he progressed from working graveyard shifts to achieving his dream position as District Manager. Even while dedicating 12 years to Maverik, he also worked for the Idaho Statesman delivering papers for 10 years. Throughout his career, Ken remained dedicated to his work and his employees, always giving his best.
Ken was a generous and caring individual who graciously looked after those in his circle. He dedicated his free time to hiking and being outdoors with his children and his girlfriend, Michelle Wilson. His favorite spot for hiking and exploration was Bend, Oregon, especially Monkey Face Rock and the challenging Misery Mile trail. When not outside, Ken enjoyed watching a wide variety of movies and listening to his favorite heavy metal bands, always trying to convince his kids of their greatness. He cherished the time spent with his granddaughter, Lakely, and eagerly anticipated the arrival of his first grandson later this summer. A sports fanatic, Ken always cheered for the underdog and embodied this spirit throughout his life. In recent years, he developed a passion for travel, spending much of his time abroad, enjoying the scenery, and relaxing in the pool.
We are all truly going to miss the unmistakable love and support we received from our - Father / Brother / Son & Friend. We know he is up in heaven amazed by all the signatures from famous sports idols he can get, and the glorious abundance of love he received by following his family members. The impact Ken made will never be forgotten on this earth. We thank God for the time we shared with him and rejoice knowing we will have a reunion one day. We love you Dad.
Ken is survived by his family - Kids: Rachel & Conor Cook, Madison & Ty Hansen / Mother: Ellen (Ganske) Rupp / Brothers: Corey Wilker, Chad Wilker, Nick Wilker / Sister: Kristen Wilker / Grandchild: Lakely and preceded in death by his Father: Tim Wilker
