Kurtis 'Kurt' Howell Obituary Kurtis "Kurt" Vance Howell, age 54, beloved son, brother and uncle went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at his home in Kuna, Idaho. Kurt was born to Richard and June Howell on August 4, 1970, in Boise, Idaho. He and his family moved to Meridian, Idaho in 1974 where he attended elementary, junior high and high school, graduating from Meridian High School in 1988. He went on to receive his associates degree in Electronics from Cleveland Institute of Technology.
Kurt started by working at Smiths Food King, Zilog, Inc for 15 years and later went on to work for Micron for 10 years where he was an Electronic/Fab Technician. An additional duty while working at Zilog, he was part of the Emergency Response Team that responded to medical and chemical emergencies. Making many great friends and memories along the way.
All that knew him knew his love for his 4x4 Chevy trucks and going mud bogging in the foothills, even if he got stuck a few times. Driving his fast Chevy Cameros around and getting a few speeding tickets along the way. Kurt loved his 80s rock hairbands, his all-time favorite group being Guns N Roses. He even dressed up at Axel Rose for Halloween one year. Kurt loved lighting fireworks, the louder the better. He even got suspended from high school for selling fireworks out of his car in the parking lot. One of his favorite things was setting off firecrackers in a tin can to see how far it would go in the air. He also enjoyed attending the fireworks at Kuna Days in August. His favorite part was always the fire bombs they lit off. We are so glad we were able to take him this year for his birthday. He was a proud homeowner of his 2 acres in Kuna and enjoyed the peace of quiet of it all. One of his favorite things to eat was his peanut clusters from Winco. He tried to limit himself to only 2 a day, but 3 lbs of them seemed to disappear a lot quicker than that. Kurt loved his family and was a great son, brother and uncle to his 3 nephews. They have many funny stories with their uncle and will cherish the memories they had with him forever.
He was diagnosed with MS in 2007 and has courageously battled the side effects of this disease for the past 17 years.
Kurt is survived by his parents, Richard and June Howell of Meridian, Idaho. Brother Korey (Tara) Howell of Nampa, Idaho. His nephews, Kaleb Howell of Meridian, Idaho, Jayden Howell and Kameron Howell, of Nampa, Idaho, an aunt and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister Kristine Howell, paternal and maternal grandparents and many other loved ones. Kurt will be missed by his family and all that had the honor of knowing him over the years.
