Obituary

La Krista Allen Obituary LaKrista was born on Nov. 16,1975 to Judy Webb Allen and Rex Allen, Krista was the only girl child on her fathers side and the 2nd girl grandchild on her moms side. This fact made her very special. Krista was raised in the Marsing area and lived here her whole life. Krista loved to participate in sports when she was younger. Krista played as well as being a manager of some of the high school teams. One of the highlights of her involvement in sports happened at the girls district softball tournaments at Melba, Krista was up in bottom of the final inning Marsing was one point behind with the bases loaded and 2 outs. Kristas coach told her to just listen to him and when he told her to swing, really go for it. Krista was very worried about letting her team down. Krista watched and the coach yelled swing, Krista swung and hit the ball over 2nd base and it dropped right in front of the center fielder. All three girls on base made it home, thus winning the game. Krista was so happy that she hadnt struck out, she didnt even realize that she had won the game with that hit. Krista managed the girls high school basketball team for 4 years. Krista looked on these girls as being very special to her. Krista graduated high school in Marsing. After high school Krista worked for Pauls in Nampa, from the time Krista was little she loved dogs especially farm dogs. Krista loved being outside with her grandpa and dad, helping do whatever. In her later years she took up crocheting. She was always making something, Afghans, potholders, hot pads, hats. Krista always put a lot of love into her work as well as a lot of yarn. Kristas Afghans were very warm because she had a very tight stitch. Krista was the Idaho State Grange youth ambassador to the National Grange Convention. Krista loved to follow her teammates and friends on face book. She was very excited about all of their posts. Krista passed away very suddenly on April 6, 2022.She will be greatly missed by family. Krista passed away at home on April 6,2022 Krista was preceded in death by grandparents Verda and Stanford Allen, Alvera and Norman Webb, Uncle Larry Hillman of Paulsbo, Washington.
