Larry Kuhl Obituary Larry DeWayne Kuhl, 73 of Nampa, went to his heavenly home on June 22, 2024, in Nampa, Idaho. Larry was born to Howard and Bernita Frank Kuhl on June 29, 1950, in Norton, Kansas. He joined 2 siblings, Charles McVernon and Nona Annette. He lived most of his early life in Norton, where he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at the Norton Christian Church, at the age of 10. His family moved to Wichita where he graduated from Wichita Southeast High School in 1968. Larry was called into ministry his senior year of High School which led him to Manhattan Christian College. While serving as a student minister in Clyde, Kansas he met his future wife Yvonne Engle Kuhl. They were married on August 14, 1970. Larry graduated in 1972 with a BA in Bible Ministries. He began his ministry as a full-time pastor at Leon Christian Church in Leon, Kansas. Later serving at Town and Country Christian Church in Topeka, Kansas; Country Hills Christian Church in Lenexa, Kansas; Newsong Christian Fellowship in Lenexa, Kansas; and Fairmount Christian Church in Independence, Missouri. He retired from full-time ministry in 2018 after serving at Rivers of Living Water Church in Sugar Creek, Missouri. Larry and Yvonne then moved to Nampa, Idaho to be near Grandkids. Larry is survived by his wife, Yvonne, of 53 years; three sons, Stephen and Lindsay and their children Aiden and Madalyn of Nampa, Idaho; Caleb and Lindsey and their children Llewyn and Noah of Nashville, Tennessee; and Christopher who is currently studying at the University of Oxford; brother, Chuck, sister-in-law, Claudia; and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Bernita; sister, Nona; his Aunt Minnie; Cousin Mac; his in-laws, Kenny and Maudine Lantz; and many other extended family members. The family would like to thank Horizon Home Care and Hospice and Olena of Olenas Care Home for the loving care they gave Larry during the last months of his life. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, 10 AM at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So. Nampa, Idaho. Two Celebration of Life Receptions will be in the Kansas City area where Larry lived out his ministry. July 27, 2024, 1-4pm at His Church in Pleasant Hill, Missouri and in Manhattan, Kansas on August 3, 2024, 2-5pm at the home of Lisa Burgess, 509 Valley Drive, Manhattan, KS.
