Larry Kenneth McDorman passed away on August 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Larry was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose kindness, humor, and adventurous spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He loved fishing, sharing stories with friends over a cold beer, and finding joy in life's simple pleasures.

In his younger years, Larry worked for Basic Incorporated in Gabbs, Nevada. He later became a Maytag repairman, traveling all around the Treasure Valley to help customers. Though he eventually retired, his strong work ethic and determination led him to earn his CDL and drive a big rig across the United States. When it came time to slow down, he became a school bus driver for the Melba School District, where he enjoyed greeting students each morning.

Larry is survived by his children Keri Halsey (Peter), Sandra Webb, Scott Zaval (Amber), and Georganna Orr (Philip), as well as his longtime girlfriend, Maude Lariosa, whom he loved deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Theora McDorman; his brother, Rick McDorman; and his daughter, Trudy Kuhn.

Graveside services will be held on August 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Melba Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Melba Valley Senior Center.

Larry will be dearly missed but forever remembered for his hard work, love of the outdoors, and the laughter he brought to those around him.
