Lee 'Homely' Holmes Obituary Lee Harold "Homely" Holmes
February 3, 1938, was when Lee joined the Holmes family in Scio, Oregon. They didnt stay there long as they moved to Idaho. To quote one of Lees favorite sayings, "if you work for wages in Idaho, youll never have enough money to leave Idaho."
Lee graduated Middleton High School with four years of perfect attendance. He was a lineman for Idaho Power Company for 30 years. He met and married the love of his life, Hooty, October 18, 1974. They both accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior on January 31, 1993. Lee and Hooty put together a six-up Percheron hitch and toured the northwest for 13 years.
Lee loved telling stories and he claimed there was a bit of truth in every one of them.
Lee is survived by daughters Ina Jaszkowiak (Tim) and Cass Cook; son Bart Wilson (Anna Mae); grandsons Peter Jaszkowiak (Emma); and Mark Jaszkowiak; and grand-daughter Kindee Kananen (Chaz).
Lee is proceeded in death by his wife, Hooty, their granddaughter, Sarah Jean Cook, and his parents and brothers.
The family thanks all of Lees wonderful friends, neighbors, and caregivers who gave their love and support during this difficult summer.
