Leon Lopez passed away Tuesday July 10, 2012 at the age of 63 at his home in Nampa, Idaho after a short battle with cancer. Leon was born April 18, 1949 in Luxora, Arkansas to Juan and Josefina Lopez. Leon had a passion for driving semi-trucks and he traveled many miles through 49 states. He also loved to listen to Tejano music especially his own father and brothers where he loved to brag about the musicians in the family. He enjoyed spending time and taking walks with his granddaughter "La huerquia tighty pants". You would also find him at Stinker station scratching lottery tickets. Survivors include his companion of 32 years Emma Reyna and his children, Leon Jr. (Tina) of Sacramento CA, Tomas (Cindy) of Corpus Christi TX, and Dimas (Adriane) of Nampa ID. He is also survived by six sisters Eulalia (Juan) Gallegos of Modesto CA, Beatrice (Adolfo) Guajardo of Boise ID, Olga (Ubo) Infante of Modesto CA, Aurora (Pablo) Contreras of Modesto CA, Yolanda Lopez of Boise ID, and Mary (Raymond) Gonzalez of Mission TX, seven brothers Ernesto (Irma) Lopez of Dallas TX, Enrique (RosaMaria) Lopez of Dallas TX, Jesse Lopez of Boise ID, Raul Lopez of Corpus Christi TX, Rene (Belinda) Lopez of Corpus Christi TX, Javier (Patricia) Lopez if Corpus Christi TX and Leandro (Erica) Lopez of Boise ID, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Juan and Josefina Lopez, two children Hildelisa Lopez and Martin Lopez, and two brothers Juan Lopez Jr. and Alberto Lopez a nephew Ezequiel Lopez a niece Norma Gallegos. Recitation of the rosary will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday July 15, 2012 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Monday July 16, 2012 at St. Pauls Catholic Church
