Lillian G. Vaughn was born on December 25, 1913 in Stebbins, North Dakota. She passed away on June 14, 2017 in Nampa, Idaho after a short illness. Lillian was a driver for the US Army Port of Embarkation, Portland, Oregon from 1942 to 1945 while her husband was overseas with the 41st infantry division in the South Pacific.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joseph M. Vaughn; parents George and Hazel Bright, Her 6 brothers, Claude, Guy, Jack, Charles, Donald and Millard Bright; 2 sisters Maxine Nichols of Bend, Oregon and Dorothy Bright of Sweet Home, Oregon.
She is survived by her son Larry Vaughn of Nampa and his wife Cecily Vaughn. Cecily cared for Lillian in the last few months of her life at home in Nampa; Two grandchildren, Daryl Vaughn of Nampa and David Vaughn and wife Jo Ellen of Reno, Nevada; 4 greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will greet family and friends at a visitation and viewing from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday June 23, 2017 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday June 24, 2017 at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa. An online guestbook is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
