IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Deanne
Cunningham
August 16, 1948 – June 9, 2025
Linda Cunningham, age 76 passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Linda was born on August 16, 1948, to Raymond D. and Leah Scott in Nampa, Idaho.
Growing up, Linda spent her time helping on the family farm, playing in the school band, participating in rodeos and having fun with friends. She attended school in Nampa and graduated from Nampa High School in 1966. Linda then attended Kinman Business University. Afterwards she started working at the State of Idaho Health and Welfare Department in 1967 where she stayed until her retirement in 2003. She was instrumental in the creation of the EBT card which she was very proud of.
Linda married Philip White in 1968. Together they had two sons, Jon and Scott White. During this time Linda found a love of making candy to both sell and give to family. She also enjoyed raising and showing sheep in fairs throughout the state. Linda was always there to support her sons' activities and give advice. Linda and Philip were divorced in 1993.
Linda met R. Scott Cunningham, and they were married in 1996. They spent over 12 years together until Scott's passing in 2009. During this time, she enjoyed traveling the world and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. She hardly missed a game or event. Linda even made sandwiches for the Nampa football team a few times and was a judge on senior project day.
After Scott's passing, she spent time with her friends and continued to travel and spend time with her grandchildren. Linda started her own company providing care for people that didn't have any relatives close by. Her favorite clients were Mr. Bill and Verna Watson. Linda just genuinely cared about people and her actions showed it.
Linda is survived by her sons, Jon (Lisa) White; Scott (Misty) White; brother Ron Scott; Grandchildren Josh (Jennifer) White; Jared White; Zane White; Jacob White; Jeffrey (Karina) Shetler; Kaiya (Tristen) Merry; and Jessie Shetler; numerous great grandchildren; nephew Casey (Dessa) Scott and niece Kortni (C.J.) Lufkin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond D. Scott and Leah Scott; her brother R. Glenn Scott; and her husband R. Scott Cunningham.
