Lois Bailey Obituary Lois M. Bailey 10/3/1938-4/7/2023 My precious mama died on April 7, 2023, at her beloved home in Nampa, Idaho. Mama was born on October 3, 1938 in Salem, Oregon to LaRoy and Nora Van Cleave. She was the oldest of 4 girls. After graduation, she attended Business College to be a stenographer and went on to work for a lawyer. She met my dad, Thomas E. Pinner and my sister Laura and I were born. She worked at the Argus Observer in Ontario, Oregon and the Eastern Oregonian in Pendleton, Oregon as a typesetter. 34 years ago, she married Robert Bailey and became a homemaker. They moved from Portland, Oregon 15 years ago to their dream home in Nampa, Idaho to be near me. Mama loved to sew, quilt, crochet, can, bake, paint and grow a garden and flowers. She loved to try new things and was always good at everything she did. She loved to entertain and have people over for meals. We spent every Sunday together as a family for Sunday dinner and she loved to set the table, always with a cloth tablecloth. She is well known for her famous potato salad, Aunt Lorettas chocolate cake and her surprise apple Pie. She loved to go to Jackpot every year on her birthday. We enjoyed many fishing and camping trips. We loved to travel to Montana and Oregon to visit family and friends, She loved her five grand kitties. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Nancy, her granddaughter Vanessa Marie Le Clair and her daughter, Laura E. Havens. She is survived by her husband Robert Bailey, two sisters and daughter Rhonda Hohnstein; also, nieces and nephews and cousins and many friends who were like family to her. Mama you were my best friend, and I will treasure our time together and miss you dearly. I love you. Services Celebration of Life Thursday April 13, 2023 11:00 AM Nampa Funeral Home 415 12th Ave. So.
