Lonnie Diane Hupp, 56, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away to be with her Heavenly Father on December 6, 2013. Lonnie was born on August 27, 1957, in Boise, Idaho. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Hupp, on September 9, 1975. They went on to create two wonderful children and have a beautiful life together. Lonnie graduated from Boise State University in 1977 with an Associate's Degree in drafting. As much as she loved drafting she loved her family even more. She helped her husband in the house-painting business they owned and ran her own furniture-stripping business for over 20 years. She was a strong independent woman who always let you know where you stood. She was very devoted to her family and was happiest when her kids were happy. Lonnie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lee and Emma Hope, and Ted Webb, and in 2008 by Madlyn Webb, her special grandma that she loved very much. She is survived by Jerry, her husband of 38 years; her son Tyson, wife Kate, and grandson Dean; her daughter Chelsea and husband Daniel Johnson; her mother, Ruth Register; her father Deloy Hope and wife Lanette; her sisters Tracy Hadley and Christine Mihalisko, her niece Megan Mihalisko and nephew Stephen Mihalisko. Lonnie loved to do crafts, especially beading, and would have rows and rows of beads spread across her lap at any given time. She was very creative - she could sew, knit, crochet, quilt, cross-stitch, and needlepoint. She was very involved with her children's activities, driving clear across several counties and sometimes even states for Tyson's crosscountry meets. She sewed miles and miles of tulle for Chelsea's ballet costumes and sat waiting in the car for 3 hours every night, 6 days a week for her rehearsal classes. She supported the car racing activities of various members of her family, even driving her own car in a couple of 'enduro' races at Meridian Speedway. A memorial service in her honor will be held Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Caldwell Friends Church in Caldwell, Idaho. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but we take comfort in the fact that she will always be in our hearts.
