An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com. Louise was born September 12, 1924 in Algona, Iowa. She attended grade school at Whittier School in Waterloo, Iowa and first met her future husband at First Church of the Nazarene in Waterloo at the age of 9. After graduating from West High School in Waterloo she was engaged to Clinton H. McKinney on June 10th, 1942 and they were married May 7th, 1944. They had been married for a short time when Clinton was called into the service for duty in World War II. One of the hardest things Louise faced was separation from her new husband and then learning that he had been declared Missing in Action. It was approximately one year later that she found that her husband had also been a Prisoner of War during this time. They were reunited after the war and started raising their family in Waterloo. Louise helped raise their four children and was always busy caring for them. In 1964 it was decided to leave Waterloo, Iowa and move west to Ocean Shores, Washington. Louise loved to go beach combing after winter storms and enjoyed finding the glass fishing floats that would wash upon the shore after the storms. She also helped manage a motel while living at Ocean Shores. The next move was from Ocean Shores to Bothell, Washington where Louise worked for Leroy Electric as their bookkeeper. She enjoyed the challenge and liked working with figures. After retiring from working as bookkeeper, Louise and Clinton moved to Nampa, Idaho. Louise had many things she liked to do while living in Idaho. She loved ceramics and going to work on her projects and became quite proficient at making intricate figurines and wildlife pieces. Louise loved to sew and make beautiful things with her hands out of fabric. She also enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of the beautiful flowers that she raised each year. Louise is survived by her husband of 71 years, Clinton McKinney. Children and spouses, Dan and Marilou McKinney, Steve and Jewel McKinney, LoRee Pauls, and Jeff McKinney. Louise has many beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Louise is loved greatly and will be missed by all who knew her, but her family knows she is now in a much better place with her Lord and Savior and are looking forward to a great reunion with her in Heaven. Thank you Louise for all your love you gave us.
