An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com Lowell was born on January 16, 1921, to Francis 'Bud' and Myrtle E. (Scott) Davis in Lebanon, Oregon, where his mother traveled for his birth. Shortly after his birth, they returned to his family's home in McCall, Idaho, where he was raised. Lowell was the fourth son and fifth child of five children. Lowell was a World War II veteran, joining the Army Air Corp in 1941. He was honorably discharged as a Communications Specialist in 1945. He met his wife, Elsie May Trickett, while stationed in England during the war. They were married on February 3, 1945, in Nottingham, England. After the war, Elsie came to America as a War Bride and they lived in Star and New Meadows before moving to McCall in 1954 where they raised their four children. Lowell worked for the U.S. Forest Service in fire management for 23 years before retiring in 1979. He was known for his hard work, loyalty, and honesty. After retiring they moved to the Treasure Valley, settling in Nampa in 1983. Lowell will be remembered for his love of the outdoors. He shared his passion for the mountains and wildlife with his four children. He spent countless hours taking them hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, trapping, and rodeoing. He taught them great respect for wildlife and one's relationship with nature and life. Lowell also enjoyed traveling by RV throughout the Western States with Elsie during their retirement. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was so easy to love and be with; he will be forever dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Myrtle Davis, his brothers Elwin, Leon 'Lyn", Pete, and his sister Carolyn Barnard.
