Lucille George Sam, 74, of Nampa passed away January 19, 2014 at a Nampa hospital. Memorial Services will be held at 12 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2014 in Owyhee, Nevada. Lucille was born to parents Lee George and Albertha Bell George on October 27th, 1939 at Summit Lake, Nevada. She was raised in Owyhee, Nevada. She married the love of her life and best friend, Robert Sam in September, 1961 in Winnemucca, Nevada. He became father to her three children, Kathy, David, and Cecilia. They moved to Nampa and had two more children, Ron and Gary. Lucille worked as a cook, homemaker and served as a council member of the Summit Lake Paiute tribe. She loved running their Indian taco stand at powwows with her husband and family. She enjoyed beading, quilting, gambling and going to yard sales. Lucille is survived by her children, Kathy (Louis) Trujillo, David (Bonnie) Gallegos, Cecilia (Armondo) Solis, Ron (Deena) Sam and Gary (Elizabeth) Sam; 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents and siblings. Services under the direction of Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
