Obituary

Magdaleno Nava, 85, of Nampa, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010 at his home with his loving family surrounding him.

Magdaleno was born on July 22, 1925 in Tula, Tamps., Mexico. He was married to Maria Luisa Nava on August 20, 1948. He worked and retired from Idaho Animal Products and was a member of the Meat Cutters Union.

He lived to take long bike rides, fishing, long walks and play with his cat and dog.

He has six living children: Juan Nava, Yolanda (Ray) Garza, Jose (Robin) Nava, Pirate Pete Nava, Susan (Raul) DeHoyos and Sally (Jessie) Garcia. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Carlos Nava. He raised three special granddaughters, Maria (Mike) Tamez and Esmeralda (Tito) Corral and Marisela Balderas who preceded him in death. He is survived by 22 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son and one special granddaughter.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
