MARCIA GLENN, 93, of Boise died peacefully on Oct. 13, 2014 in her home. She was born on April 20, 1921 in Kellogg, Idaho to James and Isabel Gwinn. She resided in Boise most of her life, attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Boise High School and the University of Idaho where she was chosen the first Sweetheart of Sigma Chi on the Idaho campus. During World War II, she was employed at Gowen Field where she met her husband of 50 years, Royce ''Beezer" Glenn. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, the Boise Junior League, St. Michaels Episcopal Cathedral, wrote a social column for the Idaho Statesman for a number of years, and worked for the Idaho State Legislature for 17 years. She belonged to several animal protection groups including The Idaho Humane Society. She was active with the Boise Art Museum, the Basque Museum, Idaho Historical Society, the Discovery Center and the Botanical Garden. She is survived by a son, Michael (Annie), a daughter, Margaret, two grandchildren, Emily (Peter) Tucker and Todd Glenn and 2 Great Grandchildren Amelia and Charles Tucker. A memorial service to celebrate and honor Marcias life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 at the St. Michaels Episcopal Church, 518 N. 8th St. in Boise.
