Margaret Ann Crill, 93, of Nampa, Idaho, entered into eternity on August 19, 2026.
She was born February 26, 1933, at Great Divide, in Moffat County, Colorado, to John Addison Breach, a native of Iowa, and Frances Louise Reagor, of Flat Creek, Tennessee. Her first schooling was in Great Divide, Colorado. In 1940 the family came west to Greenleaf, Idaho, and Idaho was home for the rest of her life. She attended Greenleaf Grade School and graduated from Caldwell High School.
On March 22, 1952, she married Richard (Dick) E. Crill in Caldwell. They shared more than 52 years together before his death in 2004. Together they had six children.
For more than twenty-two years, Margaret served as Credit Manager of Ponderosa Paint.
She was a steadfast servant of God all her life.
She loved people and was widely known as a faithful friend to many. She led with her example of kindness, humility, humor, and grace.
She kept a garden. She read widely. She filled scrapbooks with the photographs and clippings that held her family’s history together.
She canned, cooked, baked, and was famous for her peanut brittle. Food was her love language.
And she wrote. More than one hundred of Margaret’s stories were published in a local newspaper — accounts of the country she came from, the people she had known, and the ordinary days she understood were worth setting down.
In her later years, few things pleased her more than the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; by her parents; by her siblings; and by three of her children, Kerry, Norva Deanne, and Kandi.
She is survived by her children Michael, Rikki, and Kelvin; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on September 19 at the Caldwell Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Caldwell church of Christ.
Margaret spent a lifetime writing other people’s stories down so they would not be lost. Hers deserves the same care.
