Margaret L. Fortin, 92, of Nampa, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at her home. She was born on August 5, 1919 in Norwood, Idaho to Joseph and Grace McBride. She married E.E. "Slim" Fortin on March 21, 1936 and they were married for 70 years until his death in 2006. They had eight children, Cora Nowland, Joe Fortin, Larry Fortin, Ken Fortin, Rose Sells and Edwin, James and Mary who died at birth.

Margaret worked at several places but mainly took care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by her children, Joe (Lisa) Fortin, Larry Fortin, Ken (Connie) Fortin and Rose Sells; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, E.E. "Slim", daughters, Cora and Mary, son, Edwin and James, grandchildren, Stacy, Tracy and David, great great great grandson, Tylan, Brothers, Crawford McBride, Marten McBride and Robert McBride.

The family will greet friends and family at a viewing and reception Saturday April 14, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Margaret Cemetery in Cascade, Idaho
