Margie Lorraine Johnson, 81, of Nampa, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 in a Nampa care center. She was born on February 22, 1930 in Julesburg, Colorado to Samual and Martha Olson. She moved with her parents at an early age to Idaho and was raised in the New Plymouth and Nampa areas.

Margie was a caregiver, starting with working in a nursing home in McCall and on to Boise. She also worked in live in care until she retired. At the time of her death Margie resided at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab of Midland in Nampa and was under the care of Heart and Home Hospice.

Margie loved her family, always wanting to spend time with them or talk on the phone. She enjoyed going to church and time with her friends. She looked forward to the holidays, giving gifts or looking at decorations. She will be missed. A heart like hers is hard to find.

She is survived by her children, John Swanson and his wife, Irene, Don Swanson, Sr. and his wife, Renee, Bobbie Beaton and her husband, Jim; her siblings, Ralph Olson and Phyllis Korn; Seven Grandchildren; Nine Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Johnson, her parents, Samual and Martha Olson, her brother, Ivan Olson, her sister, Carol Bloomfield her daughters, Rosella and Malinda Swanson and several friends and loved ones.

A funeral service will held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Nampa Funeral Home.
