Maria G. Salinas 93, passed away February 13, 2016 peacefully in her home in Nampa, Idaho surrounded by family. A viewing will be held on February 17, 2016 from 2 7 pm and the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM at the Nampa Funeral Home - Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. S., Nampa. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, February 18, at 12:30 at the St. Pauls Catholic Church 510 W. Roosevelt Av. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Nampa, Id. Maria was born Feb 3, 1923 to Jose Garcia and Genoveva Alvarado in LampasasTexas. Maria married her loving husband of 53 years, Rafael Salinas, on October 5, 1940 in La Mesa Texas. During their blessed marriage they had thirteen children, Santos, Armando, Rafael Jr., Joe, Antonio, Maria, Jose, Jesus, Olivia, Juanita, Johnny, Manuel & Geneva. 52 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. Rafael and Maria moved to Idaho in 1965 and made their home in Nampa. Maria enjoyed the many family gatherings with her loved ones. She was the heart of the family; she was a kind hearted mother and grandmother. She bestowed many family values to all her children and grandchildren. . She will be greatly missed by all her loved ones. She was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rafael Salinas, her sons, Armando, Rafael Jr, Joe, Jesse, & Johnny Salinas. We would like to give a special thanks to Angelica McPherson, Mercedes Sotelo, Marie Salinas, AAA Home Care and Harrison Hope Hospice for all their services and support.
