Marie Nakamura, 90, of Nampa, died November 28, 2012, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel at 10:00 am, Friday, November 30, 2012. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.

Marie Nakamura was born on January 4, 1922 in Gresham, Oregon to Keitaro and Kita Harada. She was reared and graduated from Gresham High School in 1942. On May 7, 1945, Masa and Marie Nakamura were married in Minidoka County where Marie was in the Internment Japanese Camp. They then moved to the Nampa farm, where Dad and Grandpa had been since 1938, South of Nampa on Deer Flat Road. Mom and Dad retired from farming after 59 years. Mom and Dad then began to develop their farm workers; Bill, Marsha, Colleen and Tammy. Moms greatest accomplishments were her four children. All graduated from college and had very successful careers.

Mom enjoyed crocheting, crafts, gardening, cooking, sewing and reading. Marie is survived by her daughters Colleen Nakamura and son in law, Al Amlingmeier and Tammy Wheeler and son in law, Ken Wheeler; granddaughter Courtney Amlingmeier and grandson Ryan Amlingmeier and his wife, Serena; great grandchildren Baleigh and Tyson Amlingmeier. She is also survived by a sister in law and brother in law, Laura and Irwin Donart, a niece Chris Hagen and her husband David and their children, Thomas and Robert and a nephew, Hugh Donart. Marie is preceded in death by her husband Masa, son Bill and daughter Marsha.
