Obituary

Marti Ervin Obituary Marti Dean Ervin, 60, of Nampa Idaho, died at his home on June 29, 2023 after a complication from an injury. Marti was born May 26, 1963 in Nampa ID to Bruce Ervin and Alice Farr. He was raised in Van Buren, MO and Nampa, ID. He met his wife and best friend, Kim LaDonna Farmer in Nampa ID, and they were married October 2, 2010. Along with a wife and best friend he also acquired 4 children and 13 grandchildren. Over the years their family grew to 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Marti worked hard over the years. Some of his most memorable jobs were as a roadie for bands such as Aerosmith, helped construct the raceway in Kansas City, cook and bartender at Johnnies On The Dock (Tacoma WA) and as a Fishmonger for Safeway (Tacoma WA), Dollar Tree as a Manager (Boise, ID), Dollar General in Guntown MS and his last Big Smoke (Nampa ID). Marti has traveled the country and had many more exciting jobs. While working all of these jobs Marti accumulated many great friends among coworkers and patrons. He never met a person who he did not become friends with almost instantly. His attitude and demeanor were such that everyone loved him from the start. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends that he has made over the years. Marti loved music, football, NASCAR, traveling with his wife, and spending time with his many, many grandchildren. He was very talented at playing the keyboard and trumpet. He could improvise and create beautiful music by listening to a song one time. He watched NASCAR and the Seahawks of course, every weekend almost without fail. He attended many graduations and birthdays of his grandchildren and looked forward to all the holidays and get-togethers he could spend with them. He spent time in Mississippi with Kim to love on his grandchildren there. He spent his last days making everyone laugh with his huge sense of humor. Marti is survived by his wife Kim, Nampa: 3 daughters, Shirley Bryson of Guntown, MS, Monique (Jason) Allen of Nampa ID, Melanie (Jaime) Roukema of Annex OR, and one son Joshua (Debbie) Farmer of Nampa ID, 23 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren, His mother Alice Pirnie of Rogue River, OR, one sister Detta (Tammi) Vines of Seattle WA, one brother Phil (Manny) Ervin of Nampa ID, a special Niece Cassie Friedle of Lynwood WA, his favorite dogs Yukon Jack and Rocket, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Ervin, brother-in-law, Rick Johnson, son-in-law, Brad Bryson, sister-in-law, Monique Hill and Great Grandson, Asher Dane Farmer. He was also preceded in death by his stepdad, Bradley Elmo Vines. The family would like to thank the amazing doctors, nurses, and aides that were so supportive during his stay at Saint Alphonsus (Nampa, ID) and also to Keystone Hospice (Meridian, ID). Per his request there will be a family graveside gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to your local humane society as he was an avid animal lover.
