Obituary

Martin E. Zuniga, 81, of Nampa, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at his home. He was born August 29, 1935 in Cadereyta Jimenez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Isabelle & Enendino Zuniga. He moved to the States when he was 8 and their family made their home in Caldwell. Martin's hard work ethic began at an early age as he worked hard to help support his family. In 1960 he met the love of his life Ramona and he helped her raise her 7 children; Manuel, Raymond (Betty) Navarro of Salt Lake City, Margaret Mendiola (George), Gloria Flores, Linda Luna (Frank), Mary Martinez & Delores Martinez all of Nampa. Martin worked for Kondo Farms for 25 years and Cleo Miller Farms for 22 years. Martin loved hunting and fishing with his daughters, sons in law & grandkids. He is survived by a brother, Joe Zuniga(Beverly) of Boise and 3 sisters, Dalia, Reyna and Aurora, 6 stepchildren, several grandchild and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved Ramona, a brother Lalo, stepson Manuel and a nephew. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 at St. Pauls Catholic Church, Nampa. Burial will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
