Mary Kimbrough Obituary Mary Doris Kimbrough, 100, of Nampa, passed away on July 16, 2024. She was born in Vancouver Canada on March 23, 1924 and moved to the United States when she was a young lady with her family. She met the love of her life, Walter (deceased) when she was 17 yrs old and knew he was the man for her. Soon after she was Blessed with four boys, Walter Jr, John, Robert (deceased) and Steven and resided in the Antelope Valley. She had her hands full with them, but Mary was resilient. Her boys were her pride and joy, and she was very involved with their many activities. Mary then started a cake decorating and candy making business and was very successful. She would also teach classes part time as a Wilton Cake Decorator for JC Penny. Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, teaching us how to sew, can, bake, cook, make candy and most of all, to teach us her love of family. Mary was involved with many organizations throughout her life and always loved to be busy and active. She continued making candy, Easter baskets, Christmas cookies and fruit cake for her family and friends well into her 90's. Mary had a zest for living to say the least. She traveled the world, rode camels in Egypt, loved Hawaii and would take a cruise anytime just to go. Her beautiful spirit, her smile and her heart were her greatest gifts. She would light up any room she walked into, and everyone would know who she was by the time she left. Mary had a goal to make it to see her 100th birthday and she did! Our loss of Mary on July 16, 2024 has been very hard, She is now at peace and lived a beautiful, long and wonderful life. She is now with her husband and in the Lord's house. Grandma, you will forever be missed. You will always be with us in our hearts and in spirit. Thank you for all your love and the many values that you have taught us. You've made it home. May you Rest in Peace forever. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. A reception will follow in the Dille Center in Nampa. A private burial will precede the services in the Kuna Cemetery next to her beloved husband.
