Mary was born November 28th 1920 in Pharr Texas to Juan and Florencia Rodriguez. She grew up and was educated in Pharr. At the age of 25 she moved to Nampa and married Isidro R. Lopez on January 22nd 1945 who at the time was serving in the United States Army. On July 27th 1947 Mary gave birth to her first daughter Anita. In 1952 Mary moved with her family to Metz France. On July 16th 1955 their son Richard was born in Verdun France. They resided in Europe until 1955, returning to the states where they eventually made Nampa their permanent home. On January 31st 1960, their second daughter Sandra was born in Nampa.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Isidro in 1989 and is survived by her 3 children: daughter Anita (husband Rene) Flores of Nampa; son Richard Lopez of Nampa; and daughter Sandra (husband Joseph) Smith of Hillsboro Oregon; one brother, Marcos Rodriguez of Pharr Texas, and one sister; Petra Gutierrez of Chowchilla California, and 6 grandchildren, Dina Flores Brewer (husband Tim), Elena Flores Jobe (husband John), Robert Flores, Dylan Smith, Mackenzie Smith and Lucas Lopez; and 6 great grandchildren Anthony and Raine Brewer, Jaden, Maria, Tyler, and Rachel Jobe.
Marys first love was being with her family. She enjoyed traveling to visit family in Oregon, California and Texas. She loved spending time at the beach, fishing and camping. Mary also enjoyed the St. Pauls Church FUN bus to Jackpot, as well as joining in the Hispanic Senior group luncheons.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Nampa, and the nursing staff at Trinity Mission Holly, for the care they provided for the past few months until she was able to return home. We would also like to thank Heart and Home Hospice and Assisting Hands, for the care they provided Mary this past week.
We will miss our beloved mother dearly.
