Michael Field Obituary It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Christopher Field, age 38, who tragically lost his life alongside his father in Desert Hot Springs, California, after being struck head-on by a drunk driver. The two had spent a beautiful day together visiting the air museum and swimming before the accident occurred while they were returning to the RV Park where Michael was staying with his mom, stepdad, and brother for Spring Break. Michael and his father passed away at the scene.
Michael was born on October 5, 1986, in Anchorage, Alaska, to William Field and Corinne Larsen. Michael was a remarkable and loving individual who, despite facing challenges as a special needs adult, touched the lives of many with his kindness, warmth, and infectious joy.
For the past 22 years, Michael made his home in Nampa, Idaho, where he lived with his mom, stepdad, and brother, who lovingly cared for him, where he actively participated in his community with the help of support staff. Michael spent the last 12 years working at the Nazarene Care House Food Bank, bringing smiles and support to those in need. A graduate of Nampa High School, Michael also attended the NNU Prep program for adults with special needs from ages 18 to 21, where he developed life skills and friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Michael had a heart full of love for Christian and Country music. Michael loved and believed in Santa and found great joy working every Christmas season dressed as an elf with a local Santa. Michael found joy in completing puzzles, panning for gold, fishing, hot tubbing, camping, and checking in with family and friends with his phone calls. He also loved watching movies and spending time with family and friends. His favorite sports teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Idaho Steelheads. His favorite foods were pizza and chicken tenders, and he was always happy with a Dr. Pepper in hand. Michaels beloved family Goldendoodle, Bubba, held a special place in his heart.
Michael grew up in the Church of the Nazarene, and his faith in Jesus was like that of a child. He never questioned his faith. He attended several of the local Nazarene Churches. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now in Heaven, meeting Jesus and visiting family, friends, and country musicians who passed before him.
Michael is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Corinne and Bruce Larsen of Nampa; his cherished siblings, Parker Larsen, Michelle and Andrew Lueck, Natalija Larsen, Arjane and Kelby Kinney, and Ellie Stale; and his adored nephew, Shemaiah Nate. He is also mourned by his grandparents, Carlton and Connie Fong, and Judi Secord-Larsen. He will be missed by his Alaskan family, including his stepmother, Sharie Field, and grandmother, Judi Field. Michael leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss his presence.
Michaels kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for life will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His family is grateful for the love and support extended to them during this time of profound loss.
