Michael Finney Obituary Michael Loren Finney 71 of Nampa, Idaho went home to be with the Lord peacefully on February 8, 2024, after a stroke in 2012 left him without the use of his left side and a long battle with health issues, which he miraculously overcame many times. Michael was born August 24, 1952, in Fresno, California, to Clarence and Frances (Fearrand) Finney, the youngest of nine children. He served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1970-1974. He married Nancy Lumsden on August 19, 1972. Together they had three daughters. Michael continued his education and received a bachelor's degree. He spent most of his career as a Computer Technician. He was also a Math and Computer Science Instructor for several years. He and his wife lived in Yreka, California for 31 years before moving to Nampa, Idaho in 2022. Michael loved family gatherings no matter what brought us together, but camping with family and sitting around the campfire was his favorite thing to do. He is survived by his wife Nancy Finney of Nampa, Idaho, daughters Michelle Garcia of Nampa, Idaho, Cheryl Wainscott (Aaron Breed) of Grenada, California, Jennifer Manriquez (Frank) of Shasta Lake, California. Seven grandchildren Che'la Bredice (Brent) of Boise, Idaho, Fe'lise Hall of Caldwell, Idaho, Frank, Charles and Kiara Manriquez of Shasta Lake, California, Elkan and Anneka Breed of Grenada, California. Four great grandchildren, Landen and Natallie Martinez and Gianna Bredice of Boise, Idaho, Katari Conway of Caldwell, Idaho, his sister Carol Hutchison (Marlin) of Madera, California. Services will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel followed by a Military Graveside at 2:00 PM at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise.
