Obituary

Michael Robert Harper, age 54, of Nampa passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell. He was born at the old Samaritan Hospital in Nampa on June 23, 1957 as a beloved son of Bob and Glenda Harper. Michael attended schools in Nampa and graduated from Nampa High School in 1977. He has worked at SAGE Travel Plaza for 12 years and has received many accolades from his employer and fellow workers. His family thanks you all. We would also like to thank Maureen ODonnell for her years of care and affection for Michael. Michael was an avid sports fan and loved the BSU Broncos. He is survived by his mother, Glenda; a brother, Kent Harper of Nampa; three sisters, Debra Ivie of Caldwell, Margo Barnett of Nampa and Jill Butterworth of Boise; also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His nieces and nephews brought a lot of love and joy to his life because he loved them so much. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. A private family burial will be held in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Family and friends are going to miss Michael very much. We would like to share his favorite scripture, Psalms 37: 3-5, Trust in the Lord and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.
