Michael Hobbs

Michael Hobbs, 64, passed away on February 13, 2026.

Michael was born September 14, 1961, to Henry Charles Hobbs and Kathryn Letford Hobbs. He grew up in Colorado and graduated from Longmont High School in 1979, later attending Colorado Mountain College, where he graduated in 1981.

Michael built a long career with Johnson Publishing as a printer and binder, working there until the company closed in 2007. In the years that followed, he worked in transportation with RTD and in various other fields throughout his life.

Michael was known for his joyful spirit, love of adventure, and deep devotion to those he cared about. He loved traveling, cooking big Sunday meals, shopping for the perfect find, and spending time with his beloved dogs over the years. He treasured the life and memories he shared with family and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Charles Hobbs and Kathryn Letford Hobbs; his brother Bruce; his sister Barbara; and his nephew Michael.

He is survived by his partner of 32 years, Tim of Nampa; his brother Chuck of San Antonio, Texas; his sister Judy of Longmont, Colorado; nephews Ross of Washougal, Washington, Jeffrey of Salem, Oregon, and Charlie of Broomfield, Colorado; nieces Carrie and Cassie of San Antonio, Texas, Andrea of Erie, Colorado, and Allison of Johnstown, Colorado; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Soul Church in Middleton, Idaho. Burial will take place at a later date in Longmont, Colorado.

Michael will be remembered for his warmth, humor, resilience, and the love he shared so freely. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
