Mike was born to Bert and Charlene Wade on Valentine's Day 1947 in Evanston IL. He grew up in the Chicago area with his parents and two older siblings. After completing high school he attended Northern Illinois University for one year then enlisted in the US Army. He served one year in Viet Nam, afterward he was assigned to Ft. Rucker AL where he met and married Linda Wize. Upon completing their tours of duty, they moved to Nampa ID and built their home on an acreage south of Nampa. Mike was a salesman and worked for several companies: Crooks Industries, American Steel, Bill Thompson Realty, Micron Computer, DirecTV and Beverage Bistro. He retired in 2009. On January 21, 2015, he slipped away into the arms of God. He is survived by his wife Linda, brother Tom Wade of Beaverton OR and sister Barbara Singelmann of Elk Grove Village IL, his daughters Shannon (Scott) Martin and Heather (Dustin) Gillmore, four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 pm on February 14, 2015 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So., Nampa 83651 208-442-8171. A private inurnment at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery preceded the Memorial Service.
