Myrna Margene (Norall) Grantz March 15, 1934 September 26, 2015 Longtime caregiver / nurse, Myrna Margene (Norall) Grantz of Nampa, Idaho, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015. She lived her life every day being kind and friendly to everyone. She loved her family and friends. She took care of her mother the last days of her life. She leaves behind warm memories for so many that she touched. Margene was born March 15, 1934, in Loomis, Nebraska. She always dreamed about being a nurse and helping people. During the Dust Bowl, at 8 years of age, the family sold their family farm and all their belongings and moved to northern California. Margene grew up with one older brother, Burton, in Richvale, California, a small Scandinavian rice-farming community. Margene went to Biggs High School and graduated in 1952. She attended Mt. Zions School of Nursing in San Francisco, California and she graduated with a nursing degree in June, 1955. Margene met Leland B Grantz, the love of her life, at Mission Dolores First Covenant Church in San Francisco. They were married June 30, 1956 in Richvale, California and later had two daughters, Rogene and Rhonda. In San Francisco, she enjoyed teaching Red Cross New Baby and CPR classes and being a nurse at Mt. Zion Hospital. She also participated in and headed up the Covenant Womens Group and was a member of First Covenant Church in San Francisco, California. In 1975, the family moved to Nampa, Idaho. She continued her nursing career in the Intensive Care and Recovery units at Mercy Medical Center in Nampa, Idaho from 1975 2006. Margenes hobbies included: Hello Dollie Club and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She loved to entertain and was an amazing cook and baker. She especially enjoyed preparing Swedish dishes, Christmas cookies, divinity and fudge. The Family Margene is survived by her two daughters, Rogene Klenck (her husband, Bill) and Rhonda Grantz, her brother, George Burton Norall (his wife, Maria Norall), nephew, Steven Norall (his wife, Melanie Norall and daughter, Zoe Norall). She was preceded in death by her parents, George Norall and Effie Anderson Norall, husband, Leland B Grantz and baby sister, Rogene Norall.
