Neil Reynolds Obituary Neil Morrison Reynolds of Caldwell, Idaho died January 2, 2020 from complications due to Parkinsons Disease. Born September 13, 1934 in King City California to John and Roselyn Reynolds. Neil moved with his family moved to Melba, Idaho in 1946 where he attended Melba High School. Neil joined the US Navy in 1951 and served until 1955. He enjoyed sharing many stories of his experiences on the USS Kearsarge (CVA-33) and his time in Korea, Japan and Hawaii. Following his Navy career Neil went on to become a Deputy Sheriff in San Mateo, California. After his retirement he started a business in Fort Bragg, California where he enjoyed fishing and camping up and down the coast. Neil eventually moved to Caldwell, Idaho where he was able to spend time with his brother Brandt Reynolds. Neil loved to listen to music, especially jazz, he could be found cooking in his kitchen listening to his favorite artists. An avid reader he always had a dictionary close by challenging his daughters vocabulary on a regular basis. He loved languages and would often seek out individuals who would converse with him in Spanish or Japanese. Neil also enjoyed wood working and carving, collecting many walking canes over the years. Neil is survived by his daughter, Tami (Jon), son, Derk; grandchildren, Mary, Elizabeth, Kelly and Racheal, great grandchildren, James, Annebelle, Teddy, Turner and Aria, niece and nephews. Neil was preceded in death by his parents and brother. A special thank you to the VAs Willow House Hospice for the exceptional care and dignity he was given in is final days.
