Patricia 'Patty' Tiegs Obituary Patty Tiegs passed peacefully in her home with her 3 children by her side on January 23, 2025. Patty was born in 1936 to Ferman and Elva Webb at Huston Idaho. She attended Knowlton Heights Elementary School through the third grade. The family then moved south of Nampa where she attended Bennett School. Patty met the Love of her life, Gordon Tiegs in the fourth grade at Bennett School. She attended Nampa schools through High School Graduation in 1954. She worked on the farm as a young girl, topping corn. After High School she got her first job at the Boise Telephone Company. On February 3, 1956, Gordon and Patty married in Nampa and began their life together. They started a family with the birth of a son Ron. They soon built a home and welcomed two daughters, Traci and Kathy. Patty was a wonderful mother and Homemaker. Her life was very full of family dinners and getting kids to sports and music lessons. Patty also joined PEO and was a member for 55 years. Patty also belonged to Bennett Community Club.
Patty traveled with Gordon on many trips in the plane with the family. She also learned to fly the plane, taking lessons at the Nampa Airport. Patty was an avid sports fan. She and Gordon spent many years attending kids and grandkids games. They later became BSU fans and held season tickets for many years. Patty and Gordon attended Boise Little Theater for many years. Patty enjoyed outdoor activities and adventures. She loved to water ski, snowmobiles, and went on 4-H horse rides. They also took many trips in the camper traveling all over the western US. Patty kept her yard looking beautiful and always made time to visit with neighbors, family and friends. Patty and Gordon bought a cabin with friends, Charlie and Carol Pintler in 1979. Lots of great memories were made of snowmobiling and boating. One of Pattys greatest accomplishments in life was related to her sewing skills. She made childrens clothes, sewed projects for the farm, worked on Halloween costumes for her grandchildren and altered prom dresses and wedding gowns. She was part owner of Evelys Bridal Shop in Boise for many years where she altered and hemmed dresses and bridal gowns with her best friend, Evelyn Chupik.
Patty was very devoted to her family. She hosted birthday, graduation, and holiday parties. She was always first to arrive following the births of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandma Patty taught all that "If you cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all." Her house rule was to feed our pets before coming into the dinner table. In her later years, Patty found joy in having kids and grandkids visit her.
Patty is preceded in death by her husband Gordon Tiegs, her sister Peggy (Mel) Bryant, and her parents, Ferman and Elva Webb. Patty is survived by 3 children; Ron Tiegs of Nampa, Traci (Joe) Toolis of Nampa, and Kathy (Dan) Wiebold of Melba; 7 grandchildren, Robert Tiegs and Mandy Tiegs of Nampa, Scott (Emi) Hellwege of Nampa, Kerri (John) Pline of Nampa, Paula (Erik) Short of Nampa, Kurt (Molly) Wiebold of Boise, Kayla Tiegs of Nampa, and Janelle Wiebold of Melba; and 16 great-grandchildren, Sister-In-Law Joyce (Dave) Owen.
