Pauline Potter Obituary Pauline Waynette Potter was born in 1942 in Council, Idaho. She grew up in McCall and attended school in Donnelly and McCall, ID. She was the eldest child of Wayne and Fern Paananen and the cherished sister of Richard Paananen.
In June of 1959, Pauline married her husband, Jim Potter in McCall, ID. Together they began their marriage of 65+ years. Jim and Pauline first lived together in Pocatello, Idaho. They went on to live in many different places, including New Plymouth, Idaho; Heppner, Oregon; Council, Idaho; Union, Oregon; Moro, Oregon; Melba, Idaho; and Nampa, Idaho. Pauline and Jim went on to have three children: Shelly, Randy (Kathy), and Paula (Ken).
The highlight of Paulines life was her many years as the secretary at Melba High School. She had a deep passion for supporting and championing high school students, always offering love, encouragement, humor, and kindness.
Pauline found great joy in spending winters in Las Vegas, NV and summers at Cascade Lake, surrounded by her family. Whether she was out on the boat, water skiing, taking scenic drives, or relaxing by the campfire, she embraced every moment. Pauline never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good sports game. She loved attending sporting events, watching sports on tv and cheering on her Boise State Broncos!
Pauline was known for her spunky personality, her sense of humor, and her unwavering dedication to the young people whose lives she touched. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Pauline is survived by her husband, Jim; her children, Shelly, Randy (Kathy), Paula (Ken); her grandchildren, Brady (Chantelle), Kiley (Josiah), Morgan (Justin), Dylan (Bri), as well as her 9 great grandchildren and her brother Richard Paananen and his wife, Paula. She also leaves behind her adored and faithful furry companion, Lucky.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Lukes Boise for their endless care for Pauline and their unwavering kindness & compassion during such a difficult time.
Pauline was and always will be deeply loved and greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
