Our Am instilled in us the importance of getting an education, hard work, and not to give up. She supported us however she could so that we could succeed with our studies. Although her life was not easy, she never gave up. Her strength and faith always guided her.
Her family was the most important thing to her. She always thought of us and how she could help us. She showed her love through her advice, help, blessings, and food. Her food was an extension of her love, always feeding others to show her affection.
Our Am loved to do new things. Whether it was a recipe, visiting a new place, or learning something new. She was always up for an adventure. She was good at playing Toma Todo. She always had her coins ready to play and win, especially against her son-in-law, Andrew. She liked to sew, whether it was altering clothes or making something more useful. She had the ability to care for and keep plants alive. Something that for her loved ones was not an easy thing to do. Her humor, smile and laugh were something special.
Although she has passed away, she will always be with us through her love, affection, memories and her sayings, which we will never forget! We love you very much and we will always carry you in our thoughts and hearts!
