Rafael Camarena, 74, of Nampa, was welcomed into Heaven on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at his home. Rafael was born on May 11, 1937 in Santana, Coahuila, Mexico to Francisco and Augustina Camarena. On January 6, 1962, He married Bertha Lara and they were blessed with five daughters. Rafael was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. He loved to spend time with his family and going fishing. He loved going to Jackpot, NV where he played the quarter slot machines. Rafael worked for Amalgamated Sugar Company for 30 years before retiring in July of 2004. He is survived by his five daughters, Rosa (Rolando) Rivera, Normalinda (Adrian) Paz, Emma (Andrew) Vasquez, Alma Patricia (Alfredo) Hernandez and Ida White (Ray Simmons); Three sisters, Maria DeJesus Chariez of Nampa, Fermina Flores of San Juan, TX and Eva Watts of Donna, TX; Two brothers, Pedro Camarena of Mission, TX and Angel Camarena of Monterrey, TX; Fifteen grandkids; Fifteen great grandkids; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and his loving Wife, Bertha in 2010. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at St. Pauls Catholic Church, Nampa. Burial will follow in the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa.
