Randall Lee Post

Randall “Randy” Lee Post, of Kuna, Idaho, passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 70. He was born on July 6, 1956, in Nampa, Idaho, to Melvyn and Geneva Post.

Randy was a proud Kuna native and graduated from Kuna High School in 1974. He was a hardworking man with grit, determination, and a generous heart. He believed in working hard, but he also believed you should have some fun along the way.

Those who knew Randy knew he could be quite ornery—in the very best way. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tease people, pull practical jokes, and make those around him laugh. He had a way of keeping people on their toes, and you never quite knew what he might come up with next. His mischievous spirit, quick wit, and ability to have fun made him someone people loved being around.

Randy worked for the Boise Project Board of Control for 30 years. He was dedicated to his work and took pride in being a hard worker. After retiring, he finally had more time to enjoy the adventures and hobbies that brought him so much happiness.

Randy loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He started out riding his Goldwing before eventually upgrading to a Harley-Davidson. But his greatest adventures were the ones he shared with his wife, Julie.

Randy and Julie were married in 1979, beginning a lifelong love story that remained at the center of Randy’s heart. Julie was his one true love and his best adventure partner. Together they traveled throughout the Northwest on their motorcycles, exploring new places and making memories along the way. They shared a love for the outdoors, adventure, laughter, and simply enjoying life together.

Their marriage was more than 30 years of memories, friendship, love, and adventure. Even after all those years, Julie remained the love of Randy’s life. Their bond was one of the greatest treasures of his life, and their story will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew them.

Fishing was another one of Randy’s great passions. He loved being out on the water in his boat, affectionately named Little Red. Whether he was on the lake, in the mountains, on his motorcycle, around a campfire, or spending time with family and friends, Randy knew how to make an ordinary day into an adventure.

Randy was a man who loved deeply, laughed loudly, worked hard, and lived life on his own terms. He was generous with his time and his heart, and he leaves behind countless stories and memories—many of which will undoubtedly begin with, “Remember when Randy…”

Randy is survived by his son, Matt Post; his daughter Gina Reynolds; his granddaughter, Juliette Reynolds; his brother, Royce; his sister, Joy; and many dear friends who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and one true love, Julie Post; his mother, Geneva Post; and his father, Melvyn Post.

Randy leaves behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, generosity, adventure, and love. His ornery smile, his sense of humor, his practical jokes, and his ability to make people laugh will be deeply missed. While our hearts are broken by his absence, we are grateful for the years, memories, and love he gave us.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 25, 2026, at Nampa Funeral Home in Nampa, Idaho.
