Becky Petersen, 67, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away on November 2, 2026, in Boise, Idaho, surrounded by the love of her family.
Becky was born on August 19, 1959, at Mercy Hospital in Nampa, Idaho. She attended Seattle Christian High School, graduating with the Class of 1977.
In 1986, Becky married Steven C. Petersen, beginning a marriage that would span 40 years. Together, they built a life filled with family, memories, and love.
Throughout her life, Becky held a variety of positions, including working at House of Holland, Little People, and FSA, before eventually retiring from Alaska Airlines. And, of course, no telling of Becky’s story would be complete without mentioning the summer she spent driving an ice cream truck — just one of the many unique chapters of her life.
Becky had an incredibly creative mind and a gift for making things with her hands. Whether she was painting, crocheting, baking, or working on her latest craft project, she could create just about anything she set her mind to. And if she didn't know how to make something, she would figure it out. Her creativity was one of the many ways she shared pieces of herself with the people around her.
Her caring nature extended beyond her immediate family. Becky opened her heart and home to children through foster care, offering kindness, stability, and love to those who needed it. Her faith was also an important part of her life, and she was an active member of Valley Shepherd Church beginning in 2000.
Above all, Becky was a wife, mother, grandmother, and a beloved member of a large extended family. The memories she created, the things she made, and the love she shared will continue to live on through those who knew her.
Becky is survived by her husband, Steven C. Petersen; her daughter, Lyndsey Petersen; her sons, Zachary Petersen (Meranda) and Nicholas Petersen (Nicole); her grandson, Thatcher and step grandson Atreyu, Brother Scott Holland and sister Debby Frank. as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever a part of the lives she touched.

In Loving Remembrance
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”
