Richard Scott Obituary Richard Edward Scott passed away peacefully at his home in Nampa Idaho on August 19, 2022, surrounded by his family. Born September 11, 1939, to Frann Richardson in Denver Colorado. Richard was the oldest son of four children. He attended Midway Elementary, Saint Paul's and Nampa High School. Joined the Air Force in 1959 and retired after twenty years of faithful service. He served in many locations around the world including two tours in Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force, he returned to Nampa with his family. He worked for the city of Nampa for 22 years. Richard married Filomena Mendoza in the Republic of the Philippines and together they had 1 son 5 daughters and raised 1 grandson. They spent over 55 happy years together living in different locations assigned by the Air Force. Richard loved being a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved music and was a DJ at a local radio station. He was a Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus. Richard was an avid fisherman, hunter, gardener, and trapper. He loved going to the local rodeos. He is preceded in death by his mother Frann and 2 daughters Kimberly and Anaka. Richard is survived by 4 children: Frances (Ray) Vance, Edward Scott, Angela Tarver (Lito Mason) and Michelle (Mike Groff) Caddell also 12 grandchildren Christopher (Delana) Vance and Amanda (Jayson) Benbrook, Joseph Scott, Elizabeth, Jay R Farrand Nichelle (Quincy) Peters. Courtney (Aric) Stubbe and Trevor Bradford. Sidney Montgomery, Kharena Montgomery, Kylie and Adrianna Caddell. 5 great grandchildren; Jayden and Makayla Benbrook, Brolin and Ivan Vance. Alice Montgomery. 2 sisters and 1 brother: Cecelia Benoit, Monte (Cindy) Richardson and Debra (Butch) Ragsdale and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the many caregivers especially Margret, the Horizon Hospice and the Veterans Affairs Step Down Unit for making the final part of Richards journey as comfortable as possible. As Richard would say when ever anyone came to see him 'Thank you for your coming and thank you for your Going' 'Happy trails to you' 'The show must go on'. A viewing, visitation and Rosary will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 6:00pm at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. A Mass service to celebrate Richard's life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 24, 2022, at St. Paul's Church, 510 W. Roosevelt St. Nampa, Idaho. Burial will follow in the Veterans Cemetery at a future date to be announced.
